Old-school website counter from external website

Hello, I just wonder how to add an old-school website counter from an external website. This is some html or javascript code, which could be very good to place somewhere in Newspaper’s footer, maybe below social icons? Somewhere at the bottom. We have such things in Lithuania, where other website keep track your website visitors stats (like eg. hey.lt free counter) and all can see how much people visited the website every day or at all. I have it on my older websites, was very popular some time ago as it kind of fair statistics which collecting 3rd party website where website owner itself can’t cheat. In my opinion this is way to attract some advertisers, who can check your website popularity before decision to buy your ad space. Now i added it in Footer’s below About Us text, but as you are professional designers, i am just programmer, i anyway decided to ask about it. You may check how it looks now at the bottom of my front page: http://www.fellow.lt/ This is just html or JS code, which i can put anywhere, and i not so much wish to hack WP or Theme files, to add it manually somewhere as updates can kill it.

Hi,

You could insert the code directly in the theme files, below the socials

That file can also be modified through a child theme so you will not have to do this again after a theme update

This would be a solution, give it a try.

Thank you!
