AMP errors after enabling plugin

Hi, google has tagged my pages with “The text (CDATA) inside tag ‘style amp-custom’ contains ‘CSS !important’, which is disallowed.”

All I have done is install the plugin. How would I go about fixing this?

Any help is much appreciated.

Hi,

We are aware of the issues with the AMP plugin, mainly the inline CSS styles and the important tag usage in the AMP stylesheet. These will be fixed in the coming theme update. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Thanks for your reply. Is there any timeline on the update? Google seems to issue heavy penalties for AMP incompatible pages, and I have seen my pages drop out of search results entirely.

We cannot say for sure when exactly the new update will be launched because we are working hard to finish it. Most likely, this week will happen.
