Bug: Pinterest Share Icon overridden by Pinterest Embed Code in Sidebar

The built-in Pinterest sharing button is overridden by the tiny default Pinterest button when the Pinterest code below is embedded anywhere on the site (that is visible, such as the sidebar):

Visit my Site on Pinterest.
<!– Please call pinit.js only once per page –>
<script type=”text/javascript” async src=”//assets.pinterest.com/js/pinit.js”></script>

If possible please provide some more details about the issue you mention. The theme does not have a pin button implemented, there is only a post sharing option. A link to where the issue is happening would be useful as well.

Basically, when you have the post sharing buttons active with Pinterest and also use the Pinterest embed code (in previous post) to highlight pins on your site, it turns your Pinterest social sharing button into the very small Pin button from Pinterest. Likely a CSS class naming conflict or something (guessing).

I don’t have a link to where it’s happening but could set something up in a staging environment and send you a private link.

I tried the code you mention, seems the script is interfering with the Pinterest button. But since you only want to display a link to the Pinterest page you could use only the actual link, remove the script. The script is replacing the theme button with the default Pinterest one
