I purchased the Newspaper theme for use with a product called BLOOOM. Within that product there is a video showing how to paste code into your theme such that your home page is basically set up for you. It applies all necessary setup options.
I wonder if this code is/was something supplied by you folks here at tagDiv or something that the creators of the BLOOOM application came up with.
Obviously, if something that you supplied I would like to obtain it.

Unfortunately, the theme does not have any such an option for this and was not tested with this such a plugin, sorry! We do not have any idea about how it will be implemented and worked with the theme and therefore we do not recommend using it. If you want to implement it and if you are not aware of the steps which are needed to take in this case, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide additional customizations.
