The author name on my single post pages is currently linking to my author page (i.e. http://blog.com/author/usename). However, when clicked, it redirects to my home page. I would like to set the author name link to go to my “About” page – is there a way to do this?

You can use a 301 redirect to redirect certain links to url’s of your preference. Please read this guide:
