video playlist error

hi,

i try to add some videos from youtube in videoplaylist widget but i recieve one strange error

if try the (ex: NRuE38Bl5Mo, 1ZgoluYjuZM, 0K-0vkFfUmY): ID’s the videos working fine…

If write some others ids from youtube , especially some greek videos nothing show in my page… Some others videos working good? any soloution about this?

Some videos may have restrictions on use, or may not be allowed in specific countries, or there may be issue with YouTube timeout. IF only “certain” videos don’t work, often it’s an issue with those videos, in my own experience. Check the video itself for any notes about restriction, or try embedding the video alone in a post to see if it loads on your site, as that might tell you right there if it’s not able to be loaded separate from any playlist function. 🙂

Perfect example, the second link you provided is “not available in your country” when I go to visit it (I’m in USA).

So, it does have some “restrictions” on its use.

First video works for me just fine.

and the solution is???

maybe by default the youtube have this restriction? if upload one video from greece is availabe only in greece by default?

Dunno. I’ve just run into this before. Sometimes it’s the IP your web server is loading the content from not being allowed to load certain content. eg., an Indian company with server in UK, might not be able to load content from Greece, if the content is limited to certain countries.

This is common with music videos, or movies, trailers, etc., as a country might not allow some kind of content to be loaded due to social mores, etc.

You can “Google” this topic, or read the FAQs on YouTube about licensed and limited content.

As I’ve said — this has happened to us before, and we basically just chose not to use content which doesn’t load, since it just won’t load 🙂

The id from video is ok! I see in your sample, you tried the video and can’t played in widget. In my case, if write the id from this video in playlist widget, the widget no showed in site. Some others video working good! The problem is in any Greek video with or without restrictions
