It would really draw the attention of users if that box appeared from left. What do you say? How to do it?

I think would annoy people to have that appear right no top of the article, personally, vs sliding into the sidebar area.
You could likely edit the module to have it slide from left to right vs right to left; just edit the DHTML/CSS for that.
