Creating a page then generates a 404 second page with / author or jpg appended

Hope someone can help. Every page I create seems to generate a second page with /author name or jpg. This second page is always a 404 page. I now have double the amount of pages on my site and cannot figure out how to stop the second page from being generated. These second pages are not listed in the list of pages or posts.

Hi,

Maybe you are referring to attachment pages, WordPress will create attachment pages and there would be no actual way of disabling them I believe

– http://www.wpexplorer.com/disable-image-page/
There could be solutions online that you could try, for permanently disabling these pages.
