We have a website that is currently a hybrid of Joomla and WordPress. MHProNews.com.
It has perhaps 30 Percent Joomla content, the balance is WordPress, which is made up of 5 WordPress blogs, a feed from our Separate but related MHLivingNews.com site, which is also on WordPress.
We inherited the design of this site, and are trying to correct issues that resulted from a lack of support for an now defunct Joomla theme.
Based upon that, a few questions.
1) We already use a Newspaper theme, which we like, and are willing to purchase another, so long as it can do the job. Namely, it has to be able to utilize feeds from on the home page from multiple separate blogs.
2) Do you have a suggestion for importing the Joomla content into WordPress? Software, a tool?
3) if this theme is compatible for multisite.
4) We want the main slider coming from a specific subdomain, which is the Daily Business News.
To rephrase, when we are done, ideally, everything will be in WordPress, it should be a professional responsive theme.

First of all, I will thank you for your interests in our theme! Really appreciated! So, please notice that we do not know what kind of software to use for importing your content from Joomla to WordPress because are two different systems, sorry!
Please keep in mind that our theme does not have any such an option that allows you to do this, regarding on multisite, sorry! You should try finding such a plugin with this functionality and check it how it will work with the theme. We cannot provide any recommendation in this case because we do not make any tests in this case.
Please notice that the multi-site has not been tested with our theme and also, we cannot provide support for this, sorry! Also, notice that the multisite is just a WordPress functionality and it can be done in a lot of ways. For more information about this implementation, please check here -> https://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network We recommend using the way of multisite when you have to create a new install for each subdomain and then you can make a redirect between them.
