Facebook excerpt shows menu and photo caption rather than the first sentences

Hi! Whenever I grab a link from my site to post it on my Facebook page rather than just showing the headline and first few sentences of the article, it shows the headline then the top menu and then the photo caption. For instance I just posted a link on Facebook and the article was in the featured section on the main page with the category Music. So it appeared like this: Home Music Strawberry Festival musician gives back Photo: Coffey Anderson

So it’s the “Home” where it’s located “Music” is the category. “Strawberry Festival …. ” is the headline. “Photo: Coffey …” is the photo caption.
Is there a way to remove that and just have it go to the first few lines of the article like I see other sites posted on Facebook do?

Do you have the Yoast SEO plugin installed? You should install it and follow this tutorial to enable Facebook Open Graph (OG)tags https://kb.yoast.com/kb/getting-open-graph-for-your-articles/. Once you are done, use the Facebook debugger https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/ to scrape your URLs afresh.
