Header: Shopping Cart Icon and Products in Cart Drop Down

Hi,

I am looking to find a way to include the shopping cart icon, which also shows the products, quantity and price in a drop down.

I can find a plugin to do this but wanted to check first to ensure there isn’t something I’ve missed in the settings anywhere in this theme.

Ideally, I’d like to be able to do more as far E-commerce with this theme but seems it only has the very basic features to allow the display of products.

Could you advise please?

Hi i’ve looked at the comments on the theme page of Themeforest, and you said this 2 years ago.

Unfortunately, at this moment, the theme is only compatible with the woocommerce plugin, without any major customizations or changes at code level to change the woocommerce functionality. We only change the style of the plugin to be in according with the theme design and also added some settings in Theme panel for the custom sidebar and sidebar position.

In the next period, we will concentrate to add better integration with woocommerce and extend shop’s functionality, we’ll add invoice and package label generator and interactive basket as well as other cool features. Until then you can try a plugin to add the shopping cart or try to add it yourself.

You simply have not done this and to say you will is actually misleading and from what I can see adding the functionality is quite simple from a code point of view. Why could you just not include it?

You just don’t seem to be delivering on what you promise and most other themes are.

Hi Simion, I don’t think people are looking for a lot of customization. I just believe some basic additions would make most people happy.

In order of importance…

1 – Design the WooCommerce Pages to match the design of Newspaper. (Not trying to sound rude because I’m a fan of TagDiv… But have you looked at these pages recently? I’ve tested a lot of themes that aren’t WooCommerce themes, and surprisingly the Newspaper theme has the poorest designed WooCommerce pages by far. You haven’t touched them.)

Shop Page, Product Page, Cart Page and My Account Page

2 – Incorporate the stretching and or TagDiv Composer. Currently It doesn’t work. My main concern is the current small boxed design, it looks early 2000.

3 – Shop Page: Input of how many products are in a row and how many columns show.

4 – Product Page: Input of how many products show in Related Products.

To me these points shouldn’t take your team more than a few days and will add tremendous value to the theme. But at the very least make #1 happen and then hopefully #2.
