The last update of the super cache, transformed the web version in mobile theme in ipad devices which is bad and wrong, because ipad supports web desktop and you have no reason to be mobile, how can we reverse it?

Thanks,

Hi,

The mobile theme will not apply to tablets, only phones. If that is happening for you, then something is not functioning properly. On tablet it would be like this

If you believe the Super cache is the cause, deactivate it as a quick test and clear all caching, check if this solves the problem.

Thanks

Indeed, they seem to have added iPad devices in the list of mobile browsers as a fix
https://github.com/Automattic/wp-super-cache/pull/525
I couldn’t say if something can be done about this however.

Unless maybe you can use an older plugin version, the plugin will serve the mobile theme to iPads from now on.

Hi Simion C.,

Yes, and if you remove the mobile support this option, the site fails to display the version mobile everywhere, this update is ridiculous, no site known uses mobile website on ipad.

A solution would be nice, or I have to use another plugin to cache.

Thanks,

I will make a note of this and pass it along to the developer team, they will take a look. Cannot promise anything definite however.

Simion C.,

Thank you for your dedication and help, I will change the caching plugin temporarily until a fixed solution.
