Only the Facebook counter is at 0 – Facebook username has a . (dot) in it

I have updated to the latest theme, latest 4.4 plugin for social counter.

There seems to be a problem displaying the Facebook social counter with usernames that have a “DOT” in them.

My Facebook user ID is: mundoalbiceleste.arg
URL: https://www.facebook.com/mundoalbiceleste.arg

I have removed my username and added a friend’s Facebook username for fun and it worked. I put my username back and the counter stays at 0. Only conclusion I have is the Newspaper theme doesn’t allow “.” in the username. Unless it’s something else?

Please help.
