Remove date in search results

Hi, some days ago I published some articles, and it was all ok (I setted Yoast seo to don’t show date for my google search posts).

But with the articles I published yesterday and today, when I sent to google my url for indexing, after some minutes I saw that in search results those posts had the date.

So, why the problem appears only now? How can I resolve it? I want remove the date from all posts.

Thank you very much.

Hi,

If you display the date in the actual post, then it could be picked up by Google
So probably the date has to be disabled for the post in the theme as well

Some topics I found online

Ohh Simion, thank you very much. In the article I wrote today there wasn’t the date. Your screenshot saved me.

A last question: how much time it takes google to update those articles already indexed that have the date in search result? How can I spped up the process?

Thank you very much.

No wait, i am wrong. I just enabled the setting “show date”…it was disable before…

So how it possible that this time google didn’t show date in post results?

I can’t understand. It’s working backwards.

From what I can see checking you latest published post, the date is not displayed

Google will always take some time to index the website properly. If you enabled the date yesterday, the chances are this is a coincidence. If you let it enabled, eventually Google will display the date again probably.

Thank you. But so why before yesterday (with the date that was disabled in theme panel) google indexed all dates in my posts?

What you advice to do? Disable date in theme panel (i did it two minutes ago)… and then?
I am sure that with the article I will write today, google will index the date.

Thank you, I wait for a resolution.

Google should index the posts properly eventually. So if you do not want the date to show, disable it. Then all you could do is wait and see after a period of time. There are no definite solutions when it comes to Google unfortunately.

Thank you, I have two last questions:

1) When I send to google a new article throught “Fetch as Google”, do I have to do it for smartphone or desktop? Or it is the same?

2) Whenever I publish a new article, do I have to submit a sitemap? Or once in a while?

Thank you, I’ll wait the next indexing for hide my article dates.

Hi,

1. From what I can see there are 2 fetch options, for desktop and mobile smartphone
https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/6066468?hl=en
You could use both since it is offered by Google as an option.

2. Check some online topics, there is a lot of information available
