That is called the ajax filter, you can enable the filter for the blocks you want

Select categories if you want to display them. By default all your categories will be displayed, if you want specific categories to appear in the filter enter category IDs

Hi,

The ajax filter will display the categories you enter in the mentioned filed, on top of the block (may vary by block header style used).

If you are entering valid category IDs in the field and they are not displayed, then those categories could be empty (no posts in them). Please make sure they have posts.

When users click on a category in the filter, the block will load and display posts from that category. That would be all it is capable of doing.

That would happen if you enter the category IDs in the category filter as you are doing. The block will be filtered instantly.

The ajax filter field is below that setting

Enter the IDs there and if they have posts they will appear above the block in the filter.
