revolution slider

What version of revolution slider comes with Newspaper theme? I have 5.2.5.1 and the current version is 5.4.something. What should I do to get the current version and is it compatible with the latest version of Newspaper that I just updated to (8.8). Thanks.

Hi,

The revolution slider included in the latest theme version is 5.4.7.3. Uninstall your previous version and install the one from the latest package

Great. Thanks.
If I deactivate the older plugin and activate the new one, will I be able to open my existing sliders? Will I lose anything if I do that?

Also, should I activate the newer one before I deactivate the older one, or does it not matter?

Hi,

Your previous sliders will not be affected by updating the plugin, simply deactivate the old plugin and remove it, then install the new one and activate it.
