Good afternoon,
Since a few weeks ago I’ve been having a problem in my website (www.raquetc.com): for some reasons, posts no longer appear in the authors’ page (example: https://raquetc.com/author/miguelseabra). I am an administrator and some of my colleagues are editors and with us it’s all fine, the problem seems to be with everyone that’s an author or “bellow”. This also happens in the backoffice.
A second problem we’re having is that the favicon stopped showing. Do you know what I need to do to solve both problems?
Thank you so much,
Gaspar
Hello,
I can see the posts just fine for the author mentioned: https://www.screencast.com/t/kB8Ww3bt8EM8
As for the favicon, you switched to https but forgot to remove the favicon and re-upload it using https. You get this error in your console: https://www.screencast.com/t/mIrRpMJNxif
Simply remove it from the theme panel and upload it again.
Thank you!
Good morning, Bogdan
Thank you for your help — I had to use an external site because I don’t know how to upload https images to the website but the favicon is now workin.
As for the author, I can’t see the posts. Not on Chrome, not in Firefox, not in the backoffice. And I’m not the only one — all my colleagues from the team are having this problem. But I just noticed this: only if you’re logged in. When I go in anonymous or ther browser in which I’m not signed in, I can see the posts…
Thank you,
Gaspar
Hi,
So while viewing the same author page when logged in, the author posts are not displayed. That is unusual. Did you make any modifications to the theme files? or maybe added some code or functions added in the theme? If so temporarily remove them.
Also if possible deactivate all plugins, leave only theme plugins active as a quick test. Check if this has any effect.
The author pages have to look the same for all users, logged in or not. Le us know what you find.
Hello,
Yes i know, it’s very, very weird. I didn’t do anything except the obvious (updates), because I don’t have the knowledge to do such thing — which is why this seems so weird…
Thanks
Hi,
We could take a look, send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login access. Include a link to this topic in the email as well.
Just did that, Simion — thank you so much!
Looking forward to hear from you.
