Hi Team,

I would like to implement the Adsense auto ads in AMP posts. How could I place the <amp-auto-ads> ad code once on each page that I want to show AMP anchor and/or text and display ads? Please find below the instruction from Adsense:

https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/7486397?hl=en

Thank you very much.

Regards,
Francis

Hi,

For AMP auto ads, see this topic. I believe this is what you are looking for

Hi Simion,

Thanks. Yes, I put the two codes in the file you mentioned but there is still no ad showing on amp pages.

You may have a look: https://nicobros.com/the-power-of-positive-thinking-summary/amp/

I can see the codes there but it seems that it doesn’t work… Thank you.

Hi,

Be sure to check on mobile emulator or on mobile, like this

On desktop the ads will probably not be displayed, AMP is for mobiles.

Thanks

Hi Simion,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, there were ads but they came from the ad codes I put in the Theme Panel > AMP Area. Now, I removed the manual ad codes. Please have a look again. The ads are not there anymore. However, you can still see the Auto Ads Codes on the pages. You can pick any post from my site.

So, the AMP Auto Ads have not been shown successfully. I am sure I have turned on the AMP Auto Ads in Adsense so that I can get the two codes for <head> and <body>.

This method of inserting the codes in that file you mentioned may not work at all…

Thank you.

Hi Simion,

I forgot. The reason for removing the codes I put in Theme Panel > AMP Area is because it causes some non-critical errors when I put the codes there, no matter it is for Header, Footer or Article positions. Thank you.

I see that the required code was added in the header, also in the body. But from what I can see there are no actual ads in that post page at this moment.
Make sure the ad codes are entered in the theme panel
https://www.screencast.com/t/jYAQD5sE4V
And also maybe try and wait for a while, the ads should appear.

Hi Simion,

For AMP Auto Ads, we don’t need to enter the ad codes in the theme panel. The ads will be automatically inserted into the website. This is the strange point that the ads don’t automatically show up.

Thank you.

Hi Team,

Besides, when I add the ad codes in Theme Panel > AMP, the following error will be found from Google AMP Validator. It will have an adverse impact on Google’s AMP caching as there would be an error. It seems that there is something missing. You can try it yourself. You won’t see this error on my posts as I have removed the manual ad codes on posts to avoid any error. Thank you.

AMP Validator

Issue: The tag ‘amp-ad extension .js script’ is missing or incorrect, but required by ‘amp-ad’. This will soon be an error. Debug. Learn more.

Hello,

The amp header can be found here: https://www.screencast.com/t/uYfMhVcNetm

We have not tested the auto-ads in our main theme or amp plugin so we canot guarantee they will work properly though. We have only tested the standard adsense ads that require you to use the theme ad spots.
You can maybe try an ad plugin if the auto-ads will not work with our theme ad system.

Thank you for understanding.

Please add me too here for AMP Auto Add implementation feature.

Sorry but we have not tested auto-ads neither in the standard theme or the amp version. We do not have an official implementation method for auto-ads. you can try ad a few ad plugins for this type of ad.
Thanks
