When I click on the twitter share button and share the post, upon viewing it in twitter the @ name sin’t correct hence not linking to me.
e.g. it shows as @Andy T.Laird which links to someone else. it should show as @andytlaird

From what I can see the author name of the post is picked from Facebook

And in Facebook your username appears like this

That might be why the problem happens.

The problem I’m having is not with FaceBook but Twitter. It’s pulling the Twitter name when it should be as @andytlaird
Maybe try using the Twitter card validator to see what the preview of the card looks like

Just checked with the Twitter card validator and it’s correct and as it should be. However, when clicking on the twitter share on each post it is not correct! It doesn’t give the correct @andytlaird It still gives @Andy T Laird Photography which means that the @andy goes to someone else and not me!

I’ve got the same problem, and I added the Twitter username in the admin panel but it doesn’t work! When I share an article on Twitter, the link of the article is well taken but the username not and is linked to the site title in the General Settings. (Should be Smart Energy Portal, and for it to work properly it’s for now smartenergy_pl).
How can I solve this?

@smartenergyportal There is an option in the Theme panel->Post settings->Sharing, enter the Twitter username there
