This is a really awkward situation.
When checked my website on google, I noticed pagination urls are indexed which shouldn’t be
How can I remove these pages from google?
I set noindex for categories and tags on Yoast

You could try to create and use a robots file to disallow them
– https://yoast.com/robots-meta-tags/
– https://yoast.com/wordpress-robots-txt-example/
– https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-edit-robots-txt-through-yoast-seo/
– https://en.ryte.com/magazine/robots-txt-the-most-common-errors-and-how-to-avoid-them
There are more guides online about what the robots should contain for better results.
