I use this plugin for Disqus, becaus it supports load on scroll: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/disqus-conditional-load
Unfortunately the load on scroll function doesn’t work if the site.js script of the theme is active. Is there anything you can do for me to fix this?

Seems to me that it generates an js conflict because the site.js file contains all theme’s js put together. Unfortunately I can’t offer you a solution for this, you can try to find and use another similar plugin if there is one.

We use the Disqus plugin with our site with no issue, but we’re NOT using the “load on scroll” which is sometimes called “lazy load” as that never seems to work consistently — even mod_pagespeed from Google doesn’t work consistently where we sometimes have blank images. Not theme related, but due to the fact a lot of things get loaded as “async” for quicker loading these days, and this can cause things to load in wrong order even if theme trying to load in right order.
You might try simply using it without the load on scroll feature.
