Why is WPBakery Page Builder not being updated to from version 5.4.7 to 5.5.2.?

I have the same problem, but my version of page builder is 5.1.
The FAQ for WPBakery Page Builder says:

In such case, you need to wait for your WordPress theme author to update WPBakery Page Builder on their side and push it to you. Also, support related questions should be addressed to your WordPress theme provider.

Hello all,

Notice that the latest version of Visual Composer which is tested with our theme and which is included in theme’s packet is Newspaper 5.5.1.

The way we update WPBakery PageBuilder is very frustrating. The theme now updates within WordPress and we are not told when there is an update for WPBakery PageBuilder. How can we get an email when there is an update for WPBakery PageBuilder.

Notice that in the future update we will check the latest version of WPBakery Page Builder, sorry! At the moment, you should use the 5.5.1 version of it.
