You do not have the Newspaper theme but rather the Newsmag heme. They are 2 different themes: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-vs-newsmag-how-to-choose-the-perfect-wordpress-theme-for-your-project/
Newsmag does not have a dynamic width.

Hi,
A general width setting does not exist, you can stretch rows that you use in pages, also use full width big grids.
There are full width elements to be placed in pages, like grids
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-1/ (10 types of full width grids)

There are also multi-purpose elements in the tagDiv composer, you could check them out.

The theme has only one default general width for the content, 1068px. This cannot be changed in general only by modifications in the stylesheet. It is not recommended to do so however, it may cause layout and design issues.
What differences are you seeing exactly?
