Post length

Hi,

Just wonderering how I can get my posts too show an short excerpt rather than the full article. For example on my http://aikidohombu.com/category/articles/ page the full articles are showing and I like to just run a excerpt so that people need to click thru to teh full post. I have tried setting the post summary in read settings but no luck. I dont want to have to use <read more> or fill an excerpt in for every page.

Also, why does my category page have a feature image at the top of the post list?

Please ignore, not sure how to remove. Discovered the categories settings in Theme panel and adjust there. Quite a powerful feature that section. Nice work!
