Category labels on big grid slide element

Hello:

I started my site design by importing say-what demo. Next am attempting to modify it to include some styling elements from other newspaper demos, including main newspaper demo.

I used inspector to determine that big grid slide is composed of (1) mx_9 and (3) MX-10, and switched category label visibiliy to ON for both those modules. But category label shows only on module MX_9, not on MX_10’s. So I guess style imported with the say what demo is overriding it?

Big Grid Slide element’s animation style in main NP demo is expand on hover. It also shows this way in my site’s tagdiv composer live view. But on the front end it does not. So I guess style imported with the say what demo is overriding it?

1. How do I set up big grid slide to look exactly like demo https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-slide/ ?
2. Where are element text styling controlled?  Font, size, capitalization, etc.?
3. Where are element hover animation and styling controlled? Darken, hover, etc.?
4. Where are element category label controlled? Visibility, color, etc.?

Thank you,

Bruce

Hi,

That demo will not affect the big grid slide or big grid 2 on which it is based, so the category tag should be visible once enabled in the theme panel
http://prntscr.com/kcqypv
The same for the hover effect, it should be the same as default
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-slide/

The only thing that will be inherited from the demo you mention to the slide, would be the theme accent color when the tags are hovered and theme panel font settings for the category tags. Other than that the slide would be the same as default.

Did you maybe use some CSS code that may affect the grid? I could take a look at it if you can provide a link to your website.

Thanks

Thank you!

1. Tag labels on modules: they did show up after a few hours, it must have been a caching issue? Thank you!
2. Upscale hover effect: still can’t figure this one out, can you think of any other issues, (perhaps as with #1, something server-side)?

Here is a screen cap showing the issue: https://www.useloom.com/share/bf2d74313114492d9de20483625e2a82

My site in progress is at https://playhacker.com

Thanks,

Bruce

Please check this setting in the theme panel, set it like shown in the screenshot

Then clear the cache and check. If you don’t have a caching plugin then there could be a server provided cache.

Belated thank you for this, I think you were right, it must have been a cacheing issue again!
