Adding footnote/reference to image

Hello,

Is there a built in feature or easy way to add a small reference or footnote text at the bottom of images where I want to reference the source? For example, in this website (https://www.theverge.com/2018/7/29/17627664/tesla-surfboard-sold-out-merchandise), under the surfboard image, they added a small footnote for “Image: Tesla”. I am thinking one basic way is to just manually add text, but I don’t see an option to make the font that small on the wordpress editor.

Thanks

Hello mchammy75,

Here is talking about an Image Caption which can be added when you add an image, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/SxiNjS06wZ

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the message!

Thank you this is helpful. Is there a way to do that same thing for an image gallery, not just individual images?

Hi,

Image captions have to be set per image, each image has it’s own captions. If you then use the images in a gallery for example, each will display the caption it has
