I use the Newspaper theme for 2 years, but I have a few things I want.
1. The theme also sends the password to the mail address when registering new members in the membership system used. No user wants to deal with it. It would be very nice if you enable members to enter their passwords and names while registering. Unfortunately, the theme registration section is asking for email and username. Please bring this feature. I have been waiting for this for years and the other extensions are not like the internal system of the theme. Maybe you can also add an entry and registration section in social media accounts.
2. The other thing that should be a theme is dark mode. Especially if the users who spend the evening on the web have a privilege to go to the dark mode, this will make the theme much better.
I am very pleased with NewsPaper. But if these features come in, I love it much more and I suggest this theme to everyone. Thank you for your efforts.

1. The theme actually doesn’t send any emails, WordPress or hosting provided mailing service (where available) send emails.
The theme login and registration is the same as default WordPress, we added some style for it with the modal window, but the functionality belongs to WordPress.

You can disable the theme login in the theme panel, then maybe use a login plugin with more advanced settings.
2. There would be plugins if you would like to provide that from the website side, also there are plenty of browser extensions for users that like to use dark mode.
I for example use a simple Chrome extension which works perfectly when activated.
