I using the yoast pluin.
and i set the home page is my default page. but i cant add the meta description. by help of the yoast plugin i set the home page name and write the meta description but all are ok , also title show but the meta description is not showing in search google page. how to fix it ?

The description you set for the page in the Yoast settings should be displayed in the page source.
You can also specify a description for pages in general, in Yoast settings

If the desired description is in the page source, then it should eventually be picked up by Google.

So the description you set for the page does not appear in Google. It should show up eventually, when Google decides to take it into account. You can’t actually control or fix in an instant what Google shows, this takes time.
Maybe try and re-crawl the website to speed it up
