Update from mag3 to mag 4

Good morning ,
I recently purchased newsmag theme, what is best way to update from 3 to 4th.

FTP is best way; and how I do it for our sites.
Make sure you have full backups of everything; make sure you copy out any custom code put into theme panels, and widgets, into a text file, too.
