Last Updated instead of Published Date

I’m curious but I would like to show the date I last updated an article instead showing when it was published.

I have an article over 5 years old and I have been updating it with content at least once a week.

From an SEO perspective, wouldn’t showing when the article was last updated better?

If possible, can this “last updated” feature be added to the next theme update?

The custom implementation is good but I just don’t like the fact that I have to enable published date to see the last updated date when using the above technique.

This feature is added to our list of improvements but notice that we cannot say for sure if it will be or not implemented in near future updates.

We have been requesting for this for ages now, since 2016 and it has not been added
