Problem with AdSanity

I love the Newspaper theme, but I’ve got a problem with how it works with my advertising software, AdSanity (https://adsanityplugin.com/).

When I try to create a new ad, the Newspaper theme template overrides AdSanity’s, and I can’t add a feature image, or schedule the ad duration anymore.

Is there anything I can do to get this sorted out? September is coming up fast, and I have clients that I’m responsible to, and I need this resolved as soon as possible.

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

I would have no idea how those ads work unfortunately. We have not made any testing with such ads. If you use the theme panel ad spots the functionality is simple, enter the ad codes in the desire spot and the theme will try to display them. Could be an incompatibility or a configuration problem.

Maybe some other users who use AdSanity with the theme successfully could share their experiences with it.

Thanks

I’m pretty sure it’s a problem with the theme, not the ad software.

Newspaper has overwritten the template for creating new ads. I can no longer set ad duration periods. That function seems to be entirely disabled with the adaptation to the new template.

Any idea how to disable Newspaper for AdSanity post types?

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

Once an ad code is entered in a theme panel ad spot, the theme will display it at all times. I would have no idea how you are setting ad duration or why this is happening unfortunately. No clue how that works.

Maybe create the ad codes as needed in a different install where the theme is not active, then use them in the desired ad spots. That would be a solution if the active theme doesn’t allow you to create ad codes properly and interferes with the process or template you mention.

Sorry for the inconvenience, I have no solution in this case. We did not make any tests with such an ad system so it may or may not work fully with the theme.

Thanks
