Please help
How do I put links to the actual category page (instead of posts) on the Big Grid.
If it’s not possible, could you please let me know how I can do it using other elements?

I mean i’d like the big grid items to link to category archive pages (for example, site.com/category/categoryname1, site.com/category/categoryname2 etc…)

Hi,
That is not possible. Big grids and blocks display posts, clicking on a module will lead to the respective post page, not to the category page in which the post is included.
What you are trying to do is not the intended functionality of the modules, they cannot be made to function like that.
