Home Page looking a bit plain/bland (suggestions?)

Hi,

Just wanted your general advice/suggestions for making the home-page of my site look a bit less bland then it currently looks (struggling to make it seem modern and actually exciting with my company’s colour scheme, so any advice/pointers would be really appreciated!).
