Sidebar in post edition

Despite having “No sidebar” defined as default in “Blog and posts template”, in “Category global settings”, in all specific categories, etc., there is always a right sidebar (reserved space) when I edit an existing post (there is no sidebar/space when I create A NEW post).

Why?

I have this exact same problem. When I am in the WP Admin and create or edit a new post, there is a dotted vertical line in the Edit Post textarea with the word “Sidebar”. How can I remove that?

@paperweight That would not a problem, that is how it is supposed to be.

With a sidebar (left/right) – https://www.screencast.com/t/ZVohYvLB
The post content space is exactly as it is the published post, so how you see it in the backend will be the final look.

Without a sidebar – https://www.screencast.com/t/hyY9IskV8
The post content in the backend will be the full width of the theme.

These would be useful, so you can see how the post will look eventually. If you want to remove that delimitation you will have to remove the code from the theme. There are a few topics about it
