To be blunt, I am paralyzed. Back in 2006 I had an AdSense account and was developing a website. I innocently clicked on some ads that were displayed and was promptly banned. Fast forward to 2018 and I have a restored account and am getting ready to set up ad serving scripts on my fresh installation of Newspaper.
Can I get some experienced advice on setting up AdSense? If I set up my div script now, do I risk getting in trouble for SIMPLY VIEWING my site? I surely will never CLICK on an ad again. 8>)

Unfortunately we are not an authority in google ads so we cannot make a statement on whether your new ad implementation will have any repercussions or not. You should definitely contact google and present the situation as they can provide a proper response for your particular case. We can only assure you the theme will render the ads if they get delivered by google. We cannot say for sure about any other situation regarding the ads themselves and how and if they get delivered by google.
