I’ve had an issue on either the header background image or footer background image that when I upload my own picture to it, it becomes very compressed going from 1068 x 712 -> 300 x 200. However, when I loaded the demo theme I’m using the background image was perfect and then when I replaced it, did it only become compressed, when I tried to change back to the original image then it was super compressed looking. If anyone could help it’d be much appreciated!

Make shore that the image you upload have the supported extension and the same height and width as the one in the demo, don’t forget to change to full size before set the image ( https://www.screencast.com/t/p2A5jnjr7b ).

In header/footer background image is looks different because there are influence on the style you choose for them.

Ah such a silly mistake I was missing clicking to change the size to full size on the post media page.
