Hi there, so on my site when a user clicks on a tag on a blog post they get a page which lists of the posts associated with that tag as you can expect like so: http://recordit.co/DDNuqaqubG
However as you can see from that video the order of these tags is from the oldest displayed first and then as you scroll down you see newer tagged posts. I would like to display the tagged pages with the most recent post displaying first.
Specifically how to change all the tag pages like so to display with most recent posts first: https://www.mykidstime.com/tag/things-to-do/
Maybe their is a setting in the theme options I am missing or a function that can be added to the functions.php file in order to change the current order to the preferred order?
I do realize I can create a custom page and change the order of the posts displayed on it but I am referring to the default tag archive pages that display after a user clicks on a tag that is at the bottom of any post on the site.
Thanks in advance,
James
Hi,
Try to deactivate your plugins and check again ( the theme is make to show the news articles/post ).
If the problem persist please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) so we can take a closer look at your setup page.
Also, the link to this conversation is needed so we can quickly identify you.
Thank you.
Hi Calin, just to confirm we are talking about the same issue here. I realize the theme is made to show the news articles and posts and have no issue with that. The issue I am having is to just change the order of the tagged pages to show the most recent posts first. is this also what you are referring to before I email off I just wanted to confirm? Thanks James
See how it’s look by default:

You can use a template from cloud template > tag > select blank >
then after get it you can drag a block and sort it, after you customized your tag page. save it and set it as template from newspaper >Theme panel > template settings > tag template :

Thank you.
Hi Calin,
Please see here how our tag template in the Newspaper theme does not have the option you have there under “TDB Tag Templates”.

I’m not sure what you mean by ‘cloud’ template. Is that one of the other themes from Tagdiv?
Thanks
James
Thanks Calin
Unfortunately we are using visual composer quite heavily throughout, so this leaves me in a bit of a bind. Any other ideas?
Thanks
James
Hi,
You can try a plugin like Archives post sort customize ( https://www.screencast.com/t/Q6Vya5pPM ).
Let me know how its works.
Hi Calin, I have tracked the issue here down to The Events Calendar plugin Pro and basically when its active all the tag sections rearrange to show the oldest first like here: https://wp.mykidstime.com/tag/autumn/
I will contact them about it also and see if there is a fix but maybe you can also tell now what might be up here maybe with this plugin conflict. I would like the theme to work with this plugin as I use events heavily and when the Events Calendar plugin is active its fine but then when you activate the Pro version of the plugin it breaks things as I originally mentioned.
Thanks
Hi,
Unfortunately we’ve test just a few plugins, and those are work just fine with our theme ( list of plugins we tested https://www.screencast.com/t/6g7gYbC9Ndu ).
Thank you for your understanding.
Hi Calin, ok no worries, its odd the main Events Calendar plugin works fine and then the pro plugin creates the tags to reverse order here. I have opened a ticket with them also and lets see what they say back. I feel alot of people using the base Events Calendar plugin would like to upgrade to the pro version of the plugin when using your theme so I think its an important fix. Thanks
