Add link to featured image

How can I add links to my featured images?

Hi,

Maybe with a plugin if there are some that can do this. By a theme setting it is not possible. You can select an image from the media library and set it as featured, but you can’t set a link for it.

Or use a post template that does not display the featured image, insert the image in the post content at the top instead. Set a desired link for the image in the post content, that is possible.

It seems absurd to me that it is not possible to place a link in a single image. What kind of subject does not allow it?

@lavr0003 The questions was about featured images in the post page, not single images. The other images in the post content can be linked to anything. But for the featured image it’s not possible to set a link.
