Issues with Newspaper 9.1 update

Hi,
Since updating to version 9.1 I have noticed a couple of bugs.

In the theme panel when trying to change the general theme colours or sub footer colours the colour picker is partly hidden as in this example:

https://www.screencast.com/t/W0hRwQRe

Also in the sub footer I have an email address which is not displaying the correct text colour anymore.

Example:

I have tried applying the text colour again and clearing the cache but nothing seems to work.

Any thoughts on what might be causing these issues?

Regards

Kevin

Hi,

There seems to be indeed a problem with the footer and sub-footer color picker panel, I will add this on our list and it will be fixed. Thank you for mentioning it and sorry for the inconvenience.

Regarding the email, the address should use the color you set as theme accent in the theme panel. Please check the theme accent color setting and let me know.

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me. In the grand scheme of things the issue with the colour picker isn’t a major problem and I am more than happy to wait for an update.

The issue with the email address is odd, as before the update the text colour was white with a blue hover colour, just as I had set it in the theme sub footer colours section.

Since the update to version 9.1 the email address text is now adopting the sub footer background colour and the hover colour isn’t working either yet everything else in the sub footer is picking up the correct text and hover colours.

Is there a quick custom CSS code I can use in the meantime?

Thanks

Kevin

Hi,

I could take a look if possible. Post a link to the website and I will check it. If that is not possible try a code like this to change the color and hover color

.tdm-sub-footer-email a {
color: white;
}
.tdm-sub-footer-email a:hover {
color: blue;
}

I tested in my case with the multi-purpose sub-footer style, I believe that is what you are using. Let me know.

Hi,

Thanks for your advice on this. However, I have tried the code and it is not doing what I need: to change the color of the hover link in the footer (different from theme color settings). This is what I put into the CSS:
.td-footer-wrapper .td_module_wrap:hover .entry-title a,
.td-footer-wrapper .widget a:hover {
color: #809EAD;
}

Could you help?
Much thanks,
Lynne

Hi,

Try it like this for example – https://www.screencast.com/t/e8gLjYPJvN

.td-footer-wrapper .td_module_wrap:hover .entry-title a,
.td-footer-wrapper .widget a:hover {
color: #809EAD!important;
}

Thanks
