i’m a complete newbie to the newspaper theme realyl and have a question about creating sidebars.
i am wishing to create one sidebar (right hand side) that will appear on the following places
frontpage / homepage
posts
pages
I can see that a sidebar can be created in different parts of the theme but im wondering where is the one place in the theme panel etc to create a sidebar that will then appear in all the places i want it to?

It will not matter where you create the sidebar in question. Create it and add the widgets you want in it.

Or set it to the primary category of posts, the posts will inherit it

In pages you can use a widget sidebar element and choose the sidebar you want
