I have a strange problem: the social counter works fine for my Twitter account. But it doesn’t work for my Facebook and my Instagram accounts, showing 0 fans/followers.
As a test, I replaced the IDs with popular ones, and the widget loads up the numbers correctly.
Any idea why this happens?
Fixed. Not sure how, 2 hours later, no changes, now it works.
And is gone again…

How does this plugin get its data? Does it store it somewhere (caching)?

In any page except the homepage the counter seems to work from what I can see. In ideal cases the social counter will synchronize every three hours, caching plugin may interfere with this process however.
Try to access the litespeed cache plugin settings you currently have installed, and clear the cache manually. That should refresh the data.
In case the counts don’t increase properly in the future, either clear the cache manually again, or set a lower cache expiration period if that plugin has such an option (most do).

Strange thing, when I used “Purge all” from admin area, the cache for homepage wasn’t removed. I had to use “Purge this page” in the front end. Now it works, thanks!
If I see this problem again, before contacting you, I’ll disable completely any caching plugin.
