How to edit Header Menu to a transparent 'floating' type over the background

Hi,

I’m trying to figure out how I can edit my header menu to be a floating transparent one instead of one with a solid background. e.g. I would like mine to be like: https://gmgphotography.co.uk/. So it overlays the first column of content on the page

Tried editing transparency and colour on Header and Menu settings – it just goes white. Is there a header style that can help with this? Or perhaps it’s just a click of a button?

Thanks,
Georgia

Hi,

Please check our Cloud Template Library because from there you can import some homepage examples which has that overlay. Also, check the TD Composer settings because there you will find these elements. Also, as a hint, you should use that page template -> Overlay menu -> https://www.screencast.com/t/4AbDo9bmzzkn

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

Thanks for your reply – it helped a lot and have worked it out.

However, how do you choose the same option for a category pages? For instance, my menu item “Recipe” (category) has sub-categories, “Pescatarian”, “Vegetarian and “Vegan”. When I click on a category, I can’t seem to figure out how to ensure the top menu is an overlay like pages.

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks

Hi,

At the moment, this option is not available in our theme, sorry! We will make some improvements in this case in our future updates.

Thanks for the message!

Hello, in my site (www.espalia24.eu) I have in the desktop version and in the mobile version a kind of “floating menu” with the logo title that I don’t know how to change that title. The one that you can see is the demo version one…

Also, inside all the articles, how can I show the Logo Title in the top?

And the last thing, how can I change or modify the mobile menu/search window?

Thank you! Borja

Hi Borja,

I suppose that you want to change the Sticky header layout, right? If you want to make some changes over this section, notice that you can do it from Header Builder. Please check our documentation from here -> https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-customize-the-header-manager/ -> https://www.screencast.com/t/m5Yuvoq6 Using the TD Composer, notice that you can create your own style for oyur header menu.
Please notice that if you want to have another menu on post pages, you should create another single with header template which customizes it as you wish (where you can show the Logo title in the top) and then, applies this template for your posts. -> https://www.screencast.com/t/stDbirHavj
If is not what you mean, please provide more details so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your understanding!
