Did you check in Widgets in Inactive Widgets if is not there the Widget, also try to set other footer, and then set it back the style 1 .

Please check you you still have the category feature, is possible that you do not have any more that category, and the widget from the footer style 1 in the first column is a td block 7 with limit 3 and sort by featured, if you do not have this category, the column will be empty.

Yesterday I found the sorting code in the footer style 1 file. Everything works, as you set the Featured category (in Polish the category is called “Wyróżnione” and therefore it did not work). If the Featured category does not exist, it adds the latest posts from all categories in this column. So everything is good.
