Hi,

let’s imagine I published a new post in category Espania. This post has only one category assigned (Espania). In category Espania I have 20 other posts. So under my new post I should see only related posts (I checked in theme panel related by category) from category Espania.

I checked also the Espania category as a primary for this new post.

NOW…

I add to my new post other categories than only Espania like ‘holiday in Europe’, ‘holiday with kids’ etc.

And now under my new post in related posts sections I see related posts not only from Espania but also from those other categories I added mixed up.

And now.

I think it should work that way -> if I have a Espania category assigned as a primary I should see first related posts from primary category THAN related posts from other categories as long as they’re not primary (less important).

Now I see it doesn’t work that way. Related posts from all categories are mixed up in related posts section, no matter if they’re from primary category or not.

Hi,

I understand what you mean, but currently it does not work like that. The related articles section will show posts that have at least one category in common with the currently viewed post, sorted by latest.
Using the primary category option does not affect the related articles, only the elements mentioned in this guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/primary-category/

I could add this as a request, it may be considered in the future. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Thanks

The related articles section will show posts that have at least one category in common with the currently viewed post, sorted by latest.

Maybe there’s just need to add one more option for sorting by “articles from primary category first” : ) All the rest will remain as it is now.
