Does Newspaper natively support RDFa or Microdata markup for Google Rich Cards?

You could use plugins for that if required, or different methods of implementing these rich cards. I found some guides

Or use manual markup within the articles, from what I can see there are multiple methods to do it.

Yes I understand the concept of what they are. What I’m asking is does newspaper support these without any plugins? or are there any plans to support them natively? I currently I’m using them with the yoast plugin.Thank you for your time.
There would be no reason for additional markup to cause problems with the theme. Add them by any means you want and test with the Google tool

Currently I am not aware of any plans to add such elements in the theme code, or as an option. If you successfully implemented them with a plugin, you could keep using that plugin.
