We get an error from the FB share on our new newspaper site http://anglican.ink/2018/12/22/kidnapped-bishop-freed-2/ . What am I missing?

Hi,
Seems to be something with the URL of the posts. You could try adding http before the website address, then re-save the permalinks in the WordPress settings. After doing this try to share again.

I have the http correct. If you mouse over the button you can see the hrf at the bottom of the page? is this how it is supposed to look?

Fixed. It was the root relative plugin. ugh
