Category filter on elements doesn't function properly

Hi there,

My client recently discovered that the category filter doesn’t function properly anymore 🙁

The thing is we have several pages, i.e. a page named ‘cultuur’ and the elements on this page are configured to only show posts with the ‘cultuur’ category. However there’s also posts of other categories shown on the page.

To fix this, i tried to exclude the main categories, but this doesn’t work. To exclude all other categories is not a preferred option, since my client has +/- 400 different categories in his site.

Before we never had this issue and it looks like this issues comes with the latest update of the theme.

Could you help me out with this?
