Is there a way to manually sort posts in a block? For example, on my homepage, I’d like to manually choose the three posts that appear in the first block *and* their order, so they also appear exactly where I want in the block…first post more important, so it appears in the left 50% of the block, etc.
(And I would want to change it often, to highlight exactly the posts I want, in the order I want.)
Is there some way to accomplish this? I was hoping maybe there’s a “weight”-type parameter for posts that I could rank by, or create a custom field called “post weight” or “post rank.” Then, I could set all posts to value “4”, but set it to “1” “2” and “3” for the posts I want to feature, in order at any given time. Or something like that.
Sorting by popularity, recent, etc., doesn’t help…and I gather that sorting by “featured” will sort the featured posts secondly by length or random or something.
