Styling Load More Button and More

Hello, I was wondering how I could style the “Load More” button. I would like it to be the length of the container, background in Black and text in White. Basically it should look like a bar running across.

Also I am going to have it to infinite load 1 page, then each page someone would have to load more on. On the homepage I have a total of 10 articles. There is an ad under the second post. Say if I wanted the ad to display after that for every 5 posts, how would I set that up?

Hi,

For making this customize on Load More button you’ll need some custom css, if you need help please provide a link to your website were I make an inspection to Load more button, in this way I will be able to provide you the right answer.

You can change from 10 post in 5 post in Settings > Reading https://www.screencast.com/t/CpnuFAnS

Thank you.

Hi,

If this is what you want to achieve -> https://www.screencast.com/t/tP6L7RLk
Please add the below custom css in Newspaper>Theme panel>Custom code>Custom css
.td_ajax_load_more {
width: 100%;
}
.td-load-more-wrap a {
background-color: #000;
color: white;
}

Thanks.

Also I don’t think you understand. I want to have an ad show up between blog posts. Would like this ad to show up under let’s say every 7 posts. How would I be able todo this?

Hi,

You can try this for a bigger font size and height ->
https://www.screencast.com/t/yXyNj66kTobx
.td_ajax_load_more {
width: 100%;
height: 36px;
}
.td-load-more-wrap a {
background-color: #000;
color: white;
font-size: 18px;
}

Also you can change those values.

For the second question for add after each 7 blocks, unfortunately our theme do not have this option yet, and in order to do this you need to make some changes in theme files.

Thank you for your understanding!
