How to add a 'read more' button to unveil text

Hi Guys,

Is there a way to add a ‘read more’ button that unveils more text when clicked on?

I want to add content to a custom category page but the ‘read more’ tag doesn’t seem to work.

Hi,

There isn’t such an option at the moment in the theme or in the composer. You could use a simple plugin that can do it, for example
– https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-show-and-hide-text-in-wordpress-posts-with-the-toggle-effect/
The plugin works by shortcode it seems, you could give it a try.
